The creators of the cult 1990s JRPG Suikoden, are coming out with a brand new title, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes It’s already everywhere in the world of gaming.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a new JRPG, and it’s billed as an oblique successor to the Suikoden series. The development has been nothing short of enormous achievement, and here’s the reason why this game shouldn’t be slipping under the radar of release either.
A crowdfunding campaign was launched on the 27th of July, 2020. The campaign originally requested $500,000 to finance the development.
The gaming community felt so strongly to back the campaign and within a short time, every record broke. The campaign raised an amount in the amount of $4.5 Million and was supported by more than 46K fans.
As the goal of funding was well-surpassed, the developer Rabbit & Bear studios added several additional goals to their development timeline to ensure a clean RPG experience.
So far, all of these requirements have been met and the release appears promising. But what exactly does the release hold for us? What can we learn to date? Let’s look.
Eiyuden Chronicle Release Date
The brand new RPG is scheduled to release in the fall of 2022. The creators haven’t released the exact date however, judging by the optimistic Kickstarter campaign, we should soon receive an exact timeframe.
In the meantime, the group has some game videos to show what’s in store for us.
Does it have a Gameplay Video?
Although it’s only a few seconds it gives us glimpses of the real game mechanics as well as what we can be expected of the title.

Hundred Heroes Storyline
The story and the dialogue that will be featured in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be managed by Yoshitaka Murayama the master storyteller who created the scripts for Suikoden I and II. The Kickstarter page provides the following information about the plot:
“Our story starts in one corner of Allraan, which is a weave of nations with a variety of styles and cultures. of swords, and using mysterious objects called “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by conflict and alliances between the human, beastmen, and elves as well as desert dwellers who reside there.
The Galdean Empire has outshone other nations, and also discovered a new technology that increases the power of rune lenses. The Empire is searching the continent to find an object that can enhance their power even more.
It’s on this mission that Seign Kesling is a gifted and young imperial officer and Nowa, a young boy from a small village meets and becomes friends.
However, a twist in destiny will soon lead them into the flames of war and force them both to question all that they consider being correct and truthful.”

Gameplay and Combat Mechanics
Eiyuden Chronicle will feature a classic JRPG adventure that features battles that are high-resolution 2.5D visuals with Pixel-based characters as evident in the video above.
In addition, there will be hundreds of characters to pick from. The information on their capabilities is available as of yet.
The players will also take part in a fortress-building program to increase their force with the variety of characters available.
Because of the Kickstarter campaign’s additional budget, more features will be added in addition to the standard RPG options Players can participate in battle defense mode as well as asynchronous games and battles with cards.

Turn-Based Battle (HTML0) – Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes employs a traditional turn-based RPG combat system in which players are in charge of up to six units against either an entire army or a single massive creature. Select the commands for each of your characters and follow them as they execute your commands in full-motion combat. As time passes, your characters will also develop specific AI capabilities that they can use on their own during battle, which adds to the strategic aspect of combat. The characters will be able to learn more commands from AI as they gain strength and some characters may connect their AI commands to create additional effects. The players will also be able to choose which they want their AI characters to employ when fighting.
Enemy When you journey through this world in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you will meet a variety of creatures, be it an old rune golem recently awakened from its rest, or a powerful dragon, defending its territory and its ill-gotten profits. Your troops and you will be faced with more than an enemy army to contend with during your journey. They will be of various forms, and possess incredible skills and abilities and for each one of them you’ll require your courage and your allies to defeat.
Recruitment – During your adventures through the realm of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes In this game, you’ll encounter people from all walks of life searching for something more. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fisherman or baker, or even a courageous warrior, every new recruit to your troops will increase you up, making it a an excellent addition to your town.
The reconstruction of The Fortress Town
The Fortress Town, the player’s base of operations throughout the game is the base of the character’s military and also as their residence. When the player is first introduced to the fortress town, it’ll be quite small, however, you can expand it in the future by enlisting others to serve you. The players will be able to modify the town’s appearance:
Make strong castle walls to guard against enemies.

To help bridge the gap the developers have released the release of a companion game to keep you entertained until the game’s release.
Town Creation Companion Game Announced
Rabbit Bear and Bear will be working with Natsume Atari to create an additional town-building and management game, which will be released prior to Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes and will hopefully keep players interested until the release of the main game.
The game’s companion will include numerous “lifestyle” mini-games that will allow you to collect a variety of goods and services in your home, farm or town.
The most important thing is that players are capable of transferring these items into Eiyuden Chronicle, giving players an early start. The players will be able to interact some members of Hundred Heroes prior to the official launch.
However, the game’s developers have stated that the game companion will not be available for free, and will require an additional $7 for a pledge.
The team has stated they will offer further possibilities to receive the companion app, even the fans decide not to use their pledge program.
